Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Steel Detailing Estimaing Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for leading and managing our estimation, sales and accounts team, driving revenue growth, and developing sales plans. This is a managerial role that requires strong communication skills, a proven track record in Steel Detailing estimation, negotiating and closing, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients -- fabricators and engineering firms.
Responsibilities:
Contact Fabricators, Engineering companies and Construction companies. Prepare cost and timing estimates for Stel Detailing and Connections Design for the clients. Do the follow up, negotiate and win the projects.
- Manage the next level staff who are working on the estimates
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, and provide responsive services
- generate requests, submit quotes/proposals, negotiate and close sales
- manage the progress and maintain and provide progress reports on an ongoing basis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales managers, estimators, project managers) to ensure effective execution of sales strategies
Requirements:
- Proven experience (15+ years) in Steel Detailing/Estimating/Project Management Sales or similar role in the steel fabrication, detailing and engineering industry in the U.S. and Canada
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and engineering services and market trends
- Excellent management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team and work as a key member of the management team
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients -- particularly key clients
Skills:
- Experience in steel Detailing and engineering and Estimating is required
- Knowledge and Experience in Tekla/SDS2/Advance Steel platforms desirable
- knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM) desirable
