Alder Home Craft of Utah, a trusted home repair contractor, is seeking a motivated Estimator to join our team. We specialize in restoring water-damaged homes to their original condition and take pride in delivering top-quality service to every homeowner we work with.
What You’ll Do:
- Visit customers’ homes to assess damage, take accurate measurements, and gather detailed photos and notes
- Sketch layouts of affected rooms and create itemized lists of repairs
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners to explain the repair and rebuild process
- Use estimating software (such as Xactimate) and Excel to compile accurate, detailed repair estimates
- Collaborate with our production team to ensure smooth project handoffs and correct scope of work
- Work directly with homeowner insurance companies to provide detailed documentation, scope of work, and repair estimates
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters on behalf of the homeowner to ensure fair coverage for repairs
- Maintain organized documentation for insurance and project records
What We Offer:
- Starting salary: $45,000/year
- Bonus eligibility: After a 90-day probationary period (More information can be shared in the interview)

What We’re Looking For:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision
- Comfortable spending much of the day driving and working away from the office
- Highly personable, approachable, and able to build strong relationships with homeowners
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Some construction knowledge preferred; willing to train the right candidate
- Proficiency in Excel; Xactimate or other estimating software experience is a plus
- Homeowner insurance knowledge is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and physical prior to employment
