Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of signage and print projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, production capabilities, and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications, artwork, and customer requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
- Calculate material, labor, and production costs for:
- Channel letters and dimensional signage
- Monument and pylon signs
- Vehicle wraps and fleet graphics
- Wall murals, window graphics, and decals
- Banners, yard signs, and promotional prints
- Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to ensure estimates reflect accurate scope and timelines.
- Maintain and update pricing databases, vendor quotes, and production rates.
- Prepare and deliver formal quotes and proposals to clients.
- Track job costs and analyze variances to improve future estimating accuracy.
- Assist in project planning and scheduling based on approved estimates.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in estimating within the signage, printing, or graphics industry.
- Strong knowledge of sign fabrication methods, materials (vinyl, acrylic, aluminum, etc.), and installation processes.
- Familiarity with wide-format printing, CNC routing, and vinyl cutting technologies.
- Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools.
- Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
