Position Summary
Architect, design, and implement ETL processes to extract data from various source systems and transform the data into a format suitable for analysis and load it into our data warehouse. Work closely with data analysts, database administrators, and other IT staff to ensure data consistency and integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement ETL solutions, updating the architecture of our databases as necessary
Develop and update SQL queries and scripts
Work with business stakeholders to assist with data modeling, or outlining the data requirements to support our business processes
Develop source-to-target mapping, or data transformation instructions that outline how to convert data in the source system to the target system as well as map the data values
Test databases and troubleshoot any issues
Maintain data quality, implement data validation checks, handle exceptions, and ensure data consistency and accuracy by applying data cleansing techniques and resolving data integration issues.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL and data integration.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Cloud environments – Government C1 cloud preferred
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.
Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments utilizing Jira
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Knowledge or experience in API/Database/SQL and low code application development.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) is plus.
Relevant certifications in ETL or data management are a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
5+ years of specific experience related to database management.
