Job Title: Hotel Executive Housekeeper
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Executive Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organization of our establishment's guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Housekeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall success and reputation of our hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the housekeeping team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and morale among staff members.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all housekeeping activities are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to established standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to maintain and improve cleanliness standards throughout the hotel.
- Address any issues or deficiencies promptly, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.
- Monitor usage and budgetary constraints, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and usage, forecasting future needs as required.
- Guest Satisfaction:
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints related to housekeeping services.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional housekeeping services.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to sanitation protocols.
- Conduct regular training sessions on safety procedures and protocols for housekeeping staff.
- Monitor and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper in a hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in housekeeping management or related area (an advantage).
