Job summary
Provides supervision and direction for all Housekeeping activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels
of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and
responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below or though
the exercise of sound, reasonable judgment and initiative in the performance of job responsibilities.
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and
procedures and all supervisory directives.
Summary of essential job functions
1. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning and
instructing housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work
2. Provide staffing, training, counseling, and performance reviews for housekeeping department
3. Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with standards set by The Overton
Hotel and Conference Center
4. Plan and conduct staff meetings
5. Supervise the operation of linen, uniform, supply, and storage rooms
6. Document needs of the department to furnish management with budget requests
Educational/Experience Requirements
1. High school diploma required
2. College degree preferred
3. At least 3 years experience in Supervisory/Management/Assistant Housekeeping position
Abilities Required
1. Ability to speak Spanish preferred
2. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move continuously to inspect rooms on all floors of the hotel
3. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
