KEY OBJECTIVE:
As a key member of the group, a Team Leader will contribute to the achievement of profitable production growth of Private Non-Profit business. In addition, this position is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers, clients and other spheres of influence to assure the continued flow and development of the team. Finally, the Team Lead will be responsible for training and developing its team on all job responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote and maintain profitable new and renewal PNP business
- Provide coaching and mentoring to a team of 2-3 underwriters.
- Manage underwriting and rate strategies that garner profitability, promote book growth and lead to successful producer relationships
- Maintains and executes training to team which includes promoting compliance and quality assurance.
- Work at developing and implementing marketing plans with brokers and clients.
- Coordinate production efforts with other Chubb underwriting lines of business to identify account expansion opportunities
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experience
- At least 4-8 years of experience in Financial Lines multi-line underwriting
- Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies
- Understanding of Middle Market Private Non-Private products and appetite
- Understanding of field distribution plant, including managing large regional agency relationships
