We are seeking a skilled and passionate Part-Time Experienced Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artisan bread, pastries, and/or desserts, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves hands-on baking, maintaining product quality, and ensuring consistency across all baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and baked goods from scratch
- Follow recipes accurately while ensuring consistency and quality
- Operate and maintain baking equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets health and safety standards
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with Pastry Chef to plan and execute production schedules
- Adapt to seasonal menus and custom orders when required
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional baking experience (commercial kitchen or bakery)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred or required depending on location)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with laminated doughs, sourdough, or specialty desserts
- Familiarity with gluten-free or vegan baking (a plus)
- Creativity and a passion for developing new products
Shifts Available: Tuesday - Saturday mornings.
