Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass & glazing construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and contribute to successful project execution. This role requires proficiency in estimating software and excellent negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing and effective contract management. Pay Rate DOE.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize estimating software such as Glazier Studio and Partner Pak to generate accurate pricing models.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for cost control and budgeting.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, materials needed, and labor requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Follow up on quotes and obtain new jobs.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to cost estimates.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field with a strong understanding of construction processes. Glass & Glazing Required!
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Knowledge of cost control methods and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with contracts related to construction projects is essential.
- Previous experience on construction sites is an advantage; understanding of construction management practices is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
