Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roll off Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operation, including various types of trailers, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll off trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt and garbage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload materials at designated locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and materials transported.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Perform basic maintenance on the truck as needed, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on the job site.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven 2 years MINIMUM roll off experience.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques for safe transportation of materials.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor as needed.
