Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are processed efficiently and accurately, while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to enhance the dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor the flow of orders and communicate effectively with kitchen personnel to manage priorities.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the expediting area.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared according to specifications and presentation standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Utilize POS systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, for order processing and tracking.
- Collaborate with servers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and guest satisfaction.
- Uphold restaurant policies regarding health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/host or in food service is preferred.
- Strong background in customer service, with a focus on hospitality and guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Experience in restaurant operations or hotel guest services is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
