Cimarron is seeking a Facilities Project Foreman to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area.
Key Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews for facilities projects.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations to maintain project schedules.
- Conduct job site inspections to ensure quality standards and OSHA safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Train and mentor new and less experienced crew members in best practices.
- Monitor and report project milestones, progress, and any issues to management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Promote a collaborative work environment by resolving conflicts and fostering team cohesion.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable amount of time.
- 1.5 or more years of experience as a foreman on construction or facilities projects.
- Advanced knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
- Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines, building codes, and safety standards.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license for operation of company or government vehicles.
- Ability to perform physical construction tasks, including lifting up to 70–80 lbs., bending, and squatting.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certificate.
- First Aid/CPR Certificate.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role on facilities projects.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System such as MAXIMO.
- Associate degree (or higher) in Construction Management or a related field, or Certificate/License in a skilled trade (e.g., Electrician, Carpenter).
