Family Child Care Network Specialist To coordinate the Staffed Family Child Care Network for family child care providers in Broome, Chenango, and Tioga Counties. The Staffed Family Child Care Network offers a system of supports for family child care providers.
Responsibilities include:
- Develops Staffed Family Child Care Network following grant guidelines and national best practices.
- Conducts outreach and recruits family/group family child care providers to join The Network. Evening and weekend sessions may be required to ensure greatest reach.
- Develops relationships with family child care providers in the area.
- Works with family child care providers in The Network to meet their program needs.
- Works with the providers in The Network to utilize child care management/business software.
- Supports family child care providers with ongoing communication and home visits.
- Develops community connections and supports for family child care providers.
- Coordinates and offers training and professional development opportunities determined by The Network.
- Coordinates and hosts Network meetings and events.
- Explores and grows new Network participants and new Network functions.
- Delivers operational and business supports as determined and needed by Network participants.
- Improves the quality of child care provided in the community.
- Understands best practices for child care businesses.
- Attends meetings and trainings called for by the funding source.
- Attends monthly CCRC staff meetings.
- Work as a team with other CCRC staff.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor.
- Attends webinars, trainings, and meetings to keep abreast of changes in the childcare field.
- Promotes CCRC services to the public through visibilities and materials distribution.
- Assists in the compilation of material for the Annual Report of Activities.
- Contributes to CCRC’s provider newsletter and Training/Professional Development Calendar.
- Prepares reports, program summaries, success stories, and required narratives. Actively plans and organizes material for grant submission.
