Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Feedlot Cowboy to join our team. This role involves managing livestock in a feedlot environment, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining the overall operation of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and at least 2 years experience as well as possess the skills necessary to handle various tasks associated with livestock management.
Duties
- Oversee daily care of cattle, this includes but not limited to riding and pulling sick cattle, returning cattle to home pens, hospital pen management, animal handling during processing, sorting, loading, receiving, and veterinary care.
- Operate equipment safely, including tractors, loaders, skid steers and pickup and trailer for moving livestock.
- Utilize hand tools for maintenance tasks around the feedlot.
- Assist in inventory management of cattle treatment supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the feedlot area to promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, performing minor repairs as needed, including welding tasks.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required for moving feed supplies and handling livestock.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or farm operations is mandatory
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Experience with hand tools and welding is a plus.
- Strong ability to handle animals safely and effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 60 per week
