Job Title: AL Field Specialist
Location: Dickinson ND 58601
Rotation: 20X10 rotation
Pay: $25-45/hr
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ESP Field Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems in the field. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with ESP systems in upstream oilfield operations and a strong understanding of downhole pumping equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, start-up, and retrieve ESP systems at oil & gas well sites.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on ESP equipment.
- Monitor and optimize ESP performance to maximize production efficiency.
- Collaborate with field engineers and operators to ensure proper system operation.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records and submit timely reports.
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards during field operations.
- Conduct cable splicing, motor testing, and equipment inspections.
- Operate field tools and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Train junior technicians or assist other teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma/certification is a plus).
- 2+ years of experience working with ESP systems in the oil & gas industry.
- Familiarity with ESP components such as motors, seals, sensors, cables, and VSDs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote field locations.
- Physically fit and able to work in harsh field conditions.
Preferred:
- Experience with major ESP manufacturers ( Baker Hughes, Halliburton).
- Electrical or mechanical trade certification.
- Knowledge of downhole well equipment and artificial lift systems.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
