As we expand our presence in North America, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Fremont, California. This role is crucial in ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and business support as we continue to grow in one of our most important markets.
Key Responsibilities
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee all aspects of financial operations in North America. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Systems & Controls: Establish, improve, and enforce financial accounting systems, reporting standards, and internal control processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Partner with business teams to analyze customer credit, track receivables, and ensure timely collections, safeguarding the company’s cash flow.
- Taxation & Compliance: Work with external accountants and tax advisors to manage tax registration, filing, and payments while proactively identifying and mitigating overseas tax risks.
- Asset & Inventory Management: Oversee monthly reconciliations of inventory and assets; conduct regular and ad hoc audits to ensure asset security and accurate reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate, timely monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Budgeting & Expense Control: Lead the annual budget preparation process, monitor actual vs. forecasted performance, and implement effective cost control measures.
- Strategic Business Support: Coordinate internal and external relationships, and provide financial insights to support business decision-making and growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of financial management or accounting experience, preferably in an international or cross-border business environment.
- Strong background in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Solid knowledge of international accounting standards, international trade practices, and tax laws/regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance compliance with business needs.
- High integrity, rigorous work ethic, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures.
- Bilingual ability (English and Mandarin Chinese) is a plus and highly valued, given our global team environment.
- Ability to work onsite at our Fremont, California office.
