Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager at Buoy Bar is responsible for leading day-to-day operations, ensuring that service, food, and drink all meet fine dining standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, an eye for detail, and the ability to create a seamless guest journey from reservation to final course. The ideal candidate brings both strong operational management skills and a passion for hospitality that matches our creative and ambitious concept.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Buoy Bar, including bar, dining tables, and lounge service.
- Lead, train, and mentor FOH staff to maintain refined service and guest care.
- Work closely with BOH to ensure smooth coordination, timely service, and menu execution.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships with attention to cost and quality.
- Monitor beverage program and collaborate on wine, sake, and soju pairings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor standards.
- Manage scheduling, interviews, and staff development.
- Address guest concerns promptly and with professionalism, maintaining the bar’s reputation for excellence.
- Assist with planning and execution of special menus, events, and private bookings.
- Track budgets, costs, and operational efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in fine dining or high-end restaurant/bar settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and coach a small, dedicated team.
- Familiarity with wine, sake, and cocktail programs; interest in Korean flavors a plus.
- Solid understanding of FOH and BOH operations, including POS (Aloha/Micros) and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-standards environment.
