Position Overview
As a Fitness Sales Representative, you’ll represent Redefine Fitness in the community, find new clients, and convert leads into loyal members. You’ll spend most of your time outside the gym networking, attending local events and executing guerrilla marketing campaigns. The role offers a generous base pay of $25/hour plus commissions and benefits (for full‑time).
What You’ll Do
- Prospect in the community (in‑person and digitally) to generate leads and appointments.
- Promote Redefine Fitness memberships, semi‑private training, and private training packs.
- Conduct phone, text and in‑person consultations to understand prospects’ needs.
- Present membership options and close sales; you earn 25 % of the bi‑weekly membership rate and 2.5 % of all pack sales.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow‑ups and sales activities.
- Collaborate with training staff to ensure a seamless client onboarding process.
Qualifications
- Passionate about health and fitness with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Proven sales experience or a strong desire to learn; fitness industry experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working outside the gym, engaging strangers and building relationships.
- Excellent communication, follow‑up and organization skills.
- Availability to work evenings/weekends as needed for events and prospecting.
- Reliable transportation to travel between Stony Brook and Mount Sinai.
