We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Flag Football Officials. This role is essential in ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants in our flag football leagues. As an official, you will be responsible for enforcing the rules of the game, maintaining order on the field, and fostering a positive environment for players of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Officiate flag football games, ensuring adherence to league rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to explain calls and maintain game flow.
- Manage conflicts on the field with professionalism and fairness, addressing any disputes that may arise.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of flag football rules and strategies to make informed decisions during games.
- Collaborate with other officials to ensure consistent enforcement of rules across all games.
- Provide guidance and support to younger players, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and manage interactions on the field.
- Experience working with children or youth sports coaching to create a supportive environment for young athletes.
- Conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and fairly during games.
- A background in basketball or other sports is beneficial but not required; a passion for sports is essential.
- Ability to remain focused and composed in high-pressure situations while making quick decisions.
