Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic management of a fleet consisting of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, including compliance with CDL requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance across all fleet assets while leading a small team of maintenance personnel.________________________________________
Key Responsibilities
•* *Fleet Oversight:
o Manage and maintain a fleet of approximately 200 pieces of equipment, including heavy duty trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery.
o Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
o Manage company’s WEX fuel card program
•* *Compliance & Safety:
o Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
o Maintain accurate records of CDL certifications, drug testing, and driver qualification files.
o Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
•* *Maintenance & Repairs:
o Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with internal teams or external vendors.
o Track service history and manage warranty claims and recalls.
•* *Driver Management:
o Support CDL drivers and DOT requirements
o Address driver concerns and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
•* *Budgeting & Cost Control:
o Develop and manage fleet budgets, including fuel, maintenance, and leasing costs.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate vendor contracts.
•* *Technology & Reporting:
o Utilize fleet management software to track KPIs, generate reports, and analyze trends.
o Recommend and implement technology upgrades to improve fleet operations.

Qualifications
•* *Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) but not required.
•* *Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of fleet management experience, preferably with heavy equipment and CDL operations.
•* *Licenses:
o Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
•* *Skills:
o Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
o Proficiency in fleet management systems (e.g., Samsara, Geotab, Fleetio).
o Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
