Description:
Responsible for the daily supervision, guidance, and assignment of CDL drivers assigned to the DC's. Provide leadership to the drivers by coaching, disciplining, holding monthly employee meetings and conducting yearly performance evaluations. Enforce company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance to DOT and FMCSA Rules and Regulations. In conjunction with the EVP of Operations and Safety: plan, direct and coordinate all aspects of the PrimeSource, LLC Fleet. Duties included are planning and managing the use of powered units, trailers, etc. Perform additional duties as determined by the SVP of Transportation & Logistics and/or the National Director of Fleet & Drivers or Designee.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage employees in the assigned transportation business units. Duties include hiring (in conjunction with Human Resources), scheduling, training, coaching, conducting appraisals, disciplining, and terminating. Provide leadership and guidance by establishing effective goals, communicating company policy, and providing necessary instruction and feedback including but not limited to Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- DOT Compliance: follow all DOT Rules and Regulations and ensure that Wolf Logistics, LLC is DOT compliant.
- Assist management in the identification and training of lead drivers for business units as needed.
- Assist management in the design and selection of delivery equipment for Wolf Logistics, LLC. Including software systems for the effective and efficient use of delivery equipment.
- Responsible for the maintenance of Wolf Logistics, LLC and Prime Source Brands equipment used for the transportation solutions in the market/s.
- Responsibility for expense review and explanation of variance from budget for assigned cost centers.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, rules and guidelines.
- Comply with all elements of the Core Values and use the Quality System, including ISO procedures, corrective and preventative actions, the customer complaint policy, and best practices to achieve continuous process improvements and ensure total customer satisfaction

Experience and Education Required: Required (R) or Desired/Preferred (D)
(R) Read, Speak and Write English
(R) College Degree or minimum of 3 years' experience in transportation management
(R) Understand balance sheet and income statement and ability to prepare financial budget and proformas
(R) Ability to travel
(R) Proficient with PC and Microsoft software applications
(D) Current or prior Class A CDL License
(D) Mechanically inclined
