Summary
The Floor Floater plays a key role in supporting daily production by working flexibly across various areas within the manufacturing and shipping processes. This individual will primarily be responsible for assisting with machine operation, fabric preparation and cutting, quality control, order picking, packing, shipping, and other tasks as needed. The Floor Floater helps maintain operational efficiency by stepping in where help is required and providing flexibility to management and the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Select and inspect fabric for quality based on work orders
- Secure fabric rolls on the layout machine
- Trace and cut patterns accurately on fabric
- Operate production machines to create finished products (training provided)
- Fold, package, and label finished products
- Remove excess vinyl and ensure the quality of the final product appearance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety regulations
- Assist with periodic inventory counts as needed
- Pick and pack orders based on pick tickets
- Record shipment data, including weight and charges
- Ship orders using USPS, FedEx, or UPS systems
- Work closely with the Graphic Artist, Production Specialist, and Department Manager to meet deadlines and ensure efficient workflow
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and shipping goals
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to make accurate measurements and calculations.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Ability to learn and operate production machinery (training provided).
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Experience with USPS, FedEx, or UPS shipping programs is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
