Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, ensuring that all guest needs are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food presentation and order accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including basic cooking tasks when required.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in banquet service or catering is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
