Description
Performs the full range of professional duties required to review, analyze, evaluate, and supervise the food service operations of elementary, middle, high, and secondary schools, and centers that operate USDA Child Nutrition Programs.
Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in institutional food service management, business administration, dietetics, or related field.

Four (4) years of experience in the management of food or beverage services, within a large organization.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Knowledge of institutional food service procedures, practices, and equipment.
- Knowledge of Fairfax County Public Schools food service operations.
- Ability to supervise school and centralized operations and to train and advise school-based managerial personnel.
- Ability to work as part of a team to ensure a program meets its goals.
- Proficiency in the use of technology.
- Possession of computer and accounting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Education and experience in food service operations.

$84,552 - $143,880
