Required

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in institutional food service management, business administration, dietetics, or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in the management of food or beverage services, within a large organization.
  • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
• Knowledge of institutional food service procedures, practices, and equipment.
• Knowledge of Fairfax County Public Schools food service operations.
• Ability to supervise school and centralized operations and to train and advise school-based managerial personnel.
• Ability to work as part of a team to ensure a program meets its goals.
• Proficiency in the use of technology.
• Possession of computer and accounting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred

• Education and experience in food service operations.
