Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Food Truck Staff member, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food service to our customers. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food industry. You will be responsible for food preparation, customer service, and ensuring that our food truck operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare the food truck for travel and service, including routine inspections on the vehicle, propane refill, gas refill, and cleaning and washing the truck to keep it in working and serving condition.
- Prepare and serve high-quality food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Toast POS or Square POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food truck, including food handling areas and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and managing waste.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales reporting.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Maintain your food truck in good condition. Document and oversee routine vehicle maintenance.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or Square POS systems is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Background in quick service or fast food restaurant settings is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers positively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is essential.
