Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and materials handling, with a focus on safety and efficiency. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the movement of goods within our facility, ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and stored correctly.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers using various lifting equipment.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal storage and retrieval of materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in heavy equipment operation within a warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with cherry pickers, cranes, and other material handling equipment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is an asset.
