This will be working at an Auto Parts Warehouse. We are looking for people that have experience with Cherry Pickers or Forklift. Must be willing to learn how to operate a Cherry Picker. Position will be located in Canoga Park, CA.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements.
- Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks and other heavy equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to build pallets for shipping and organize inventory effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, particularly OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Experience with various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks is a plus.
