Aircraft Worker
Contractor personnel, under journeyman supervision, shall assist in the repair, manufacture, and modification of aircraft, components, and/or assemblies for assigned models of aircraft as well as incorporate technical directives. Contractor personnel shall: form sheet metal using basic hand and power tools; setup and operate power saws; shears, rollers, and brakes; assemble parts by bolting and riveting; use measuring and marking equipment; use basic hand tools such as drills, snips, squares, mallets, hammers, wrenches, files, countersinks, and deburring tools; use pneumatic drills, rivets, shavers, impact wrenches, and other pneumatic and electrically powered tools. Contractor personnel performing pattern and layout assignments must adhere to tolerances of plus or minus .030.
Adequate experience performing the duties of the labor category as described in the Department of Labor functional description. Service Contract Act (SCA) - 23080
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of 2 years in aircraft sheet metal mechanic experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to speak, read and write and understand English.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and / or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned task.
Must past pre employment background check.
Must past pre-employment and post-employment drug testing.
Must be able to attain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System Card (DBIDS).
Must be able to attain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Secret Clearance.
Minimum of 2 years of current, relevant aircraft sheet metal mechanic experience.
Prior experience in Naval Aviation Depot level maintenance.
Prior Experience in Naval Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Airframes and Structural repair.
