Overview
We are looking for a Produce Quality Control Inspector who will be responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests on product to ensure that all inbound and outbound product meet standards of quality.
Requirements:
- Produce experience preferred.
- Must be willing to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment with exposure to extreme cold (32ºF - 45ºF) and damp conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work in a group setting.
- Well organized and extremely attentive to details.
- Math/computer experience.
- Experience utilizing tools and equipment needed to complete various warehouse tasks.
- Communicate with the customer on a daily basis via email regarding quality of product.
- Requires the ability to pay close attention to details, meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Requires the use of a telephone, computer terminal, Aphid, internet, calculator, and copy machine.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Conduct quality inspections on products using various tools such as Penetrometer, caliper, Refractometer, Termomether and other measuring instruments.
- Creates a quality inspection report for all inbound produce using Nova program.
- Implement and maintain quality systems to support manufacturing processes.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and condition.
- Works with USDA Inspector, if necessary
- Familiarity with HACCP principles for food safety inspections.
- Assists with inspecting Production packing quality of products.
- All other duties as assigned and/or required.
- Conducts random shipping audits for outbound product quality and condition.
- Constantly re check the Inventory and inform to our client about the quality of the fruit.
Physical Demands:
- Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time with frequent interruptions.
- May involve some repetitive motions.
- Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical inspection work.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds-More than 50 pounds requires a team lift.
- Requires several hours per day of standing, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, bending, or carrying light loads
- Proper grooming standards.
- Proper clothing including steel toe boots with a good grip
- Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned task.
- Occasionally works overtime
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience are preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.13 per hour
