The Crescent Beach Club is Long Island's only premier beachfront destination venue. We have been a leading Wedding and Private Events establishment for over 20 years, with our beautiful white sand beach, breathtaking views, and gourmet dining for that "once in a lifetime experience".
The Crescent Beach Club is currently hiring a Catering Assistant to handle all customer service duties by answering questions and providing necessary catering information provided by the Director of Sales & Events Manager. The catering assistant may schedule appointments for potential clients to evaluate the catering hall to determine if it fits their needs for an affair. This position is in a fast paced environment. We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Organize and maintain google calendars, ensuring smooth communication between clients and the catering team.
- Request and collect insurance policies from vendors that are coming to the Crescent Beach Club.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office space.
- Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Maintain a high level of customer service while working in a fast paced.

- Qualifications
- At least two to three years of any catering related experience (but not necessary)
- Computer knowledge including full working knowledge of MS Office applications, Internet, google calendar, email, and superior keyboard skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including word-processing, spreadsheets, database, and e-mail required.
- Superior organization and guest service abilities required.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills required.
- Experience in processing final payments and recording payments with accounting
