Office Assistant
Position Description: The Front Desk Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting daily operations and customer service at Fairmount Center for the Arts, including registering students in the ticketing system; answering phones and emails; supporting onsite operations; and assisting with special projects. The Front Desk Operations Assistant also provides key administrative support for the Executive Director and Director of Operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Provides excellent customer service in person and over the phone for customers, including setting up accounts and registering students in the Sawyer database for activities, answering the phone and assisting callers with their requests, welcoming students and families upon arrival, emailing class updates, and supporting teaching faculty.
- Performs opening and closing procedures for the building and executes setup and breakdown needs for events and off-site engagements (camps, performances, etc.).
- Provides administrative support for the Executive Director and Director of Operations, including preparing lists, internet research, meeting scheduling, drafting correspondence, fundraising operations, coordinating event logistics, and data entry.
- Assists with cleaning, organizing, and general building maintenance tasks, including maintaining current supply lists.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Self-sufficient with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Comfort with using various technology systems, including customer registration software, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Preferred: Past administrative support experience.
