Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system accurately for processing transactions and handling cash.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while achieving sales goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and passion for coffee culture is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
