Please Don’t Die Black Men (PDDBM) is a community-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through fashion, film, and journalism programs. We raise funds to provide free, life-changing programming for underserved students across Clark County. Join us as a Fundraising Sales Representative to help drive support for our afterschool programs through high-energy, people-focused sales of baked goods.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly charismatic, professional, and sales-driven individual to serve as the face of PDDBM at our vendor booth. You will be responsible for selling baked goods, interacting with the public, and representing our mission in a dynamic, high-traffic environment. This is a one-day position with the potential to be considered for future event roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage with the public to sell baked goods and promote our nonprofit mission
- Attract and retain crowds through energetic and personable interaction
- Wear branded PDDBM apparel and maintain a polished, professional appearance
- Handle both cash and card transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized booth throughout the event
- Lift and transport baked goods, tables, supplies (50–70 lbs)
- Ensure timely setup, operation, and breakdown of the booth
- Represent PDDBM with passion, professionalism, and trustworthiness
Required Qualifications
- Proficient English speaker; bilingual is a strong plus
- Strong, confident, and loud public speaker with exceptional charisma
- Demonstrated sales experience and ability to drive high-volume transactions
- Must be reliable, punctual, and fully available from 8 AM – 8 PM (early arrival required)
- Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Physically able to lift 50–70 lbs without assistance
- Must be pleasing in appearance and willing to wear PDDBM-branded gear (provided)
- Must be comfortable being a public-facing representative of our nonprofit
Security & Integrity Requirements
Due to handling of cash and credit card transactions, candidates must:
- Complete a background check prior to the event
- Sign a contract outlining their responsibilities and our payment procedures
- Complete a W-9 form for IRS reporting purposes
- Be willing to provide references or past work verification if requested
PDDBM retains the right to disqualify any applicant who does not pass background screening or displays questionable integrity. We value trust above all.

Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Weekends only
