Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation and relocation of items for our clients. This position requires physical stamina, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. As a Mover, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' belongings are handled with care and delivered safely to their new locations.
Duties
- Load and unload items from trucks or vans, ensuring safe handling and proper placement.
- Operate various equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to facilitate moving tasks.
- Drive vehicles, including vans and commercial trucks, to transport items to designated locations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during the moving process.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Assist in packing and unpacking items as needed, ensuring all belongings are secure during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of various items, maintaining proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving equipment and vehicles.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a mover or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license; experience driving commercial vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation skills for efficient transportation.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely (training may be provided).
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
