Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of skills to perform various maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC repairs.
- Execute welding tasks for structural or aesthetic purposes as needed.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers for automation and troubleshooting of systems.
- Conduct facilities maintenance to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning optimally.
- Interpret schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Carry out residential painting projects with attention to detail and quality finish.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns professionally.
- Supervise junior staff or contractors on specific projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in diagnosing and repairing machinery within a manufacturing environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong focus on facilities upkeep.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for diagnostics.
- Background in manufacturing environments is preferred, showcasing hands-on experience with machinery.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
- A solid understanding of customer service principles, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
