Summary/Objective
The General Laborer is essentially responsible for the presentation of the retail/wholesale yard, maintenance of that specific area of plant material and the interaction with the retail/wholesale clients. The General Laborer must also successfully and professionally interact with outside vendors, Bzak Landscape and Lawn Care crews, and the site managers/assistant managers.

0 – 2 years’ experience in the Garden Center/Landscape
Proficient in both oral communication.
Willing to learn the operation of nursery equipment that is necessary to operate on a daily basis (i.e. tractor w/ loader, skid loader, nursery carts, etc.)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and able to carry 15-20 pounds repeatedly through the length of the site.
Ability to operate in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks for various individuals.
Identify site stock needs and apply hydration and treatment as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday.

High School Diploma or equivalent in progress.
