Job Summary
As General Manager, you will oversee all front-of-house operations, lead a large and diverse team, and collaborate closely with back of house. You will champion service standards, financial accountability, and staff development—while helping uphold Cucina Toscana’s 30 year legacy here in downtown SLC. We are seeking a candidate who is not only experienced with fine dining service and has previous leadership/managerial roles, but also knows the restaurant industry inside and out.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring consistency in service and that all shifts run smoothly
- Hire, train, and manage Front of House staff to follow and meet fine dining standards and restaurant policies
- Create and manage staff schedules
- Oversee labor, inventory, and daily financial reporting to meet profitability goals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with BOH, bar, banquet/events, and marketing teams
- Ensure compliance with Utah DABS, food health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Actively respond to and resolve guest feedback in a manner that reinforces long-term loyalty
- Being trained in all roles to be able to assist and lead when needed
- Uphold the brand’s standards in decorum, ambiance, and service delivery
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a restaurant managerial or leadership role
- Deep knowledge of fine dining steps of service and standards - knowledge of Italian food and wine is a plus
- Leading through action, having a willingness to jump in and help where needed and face problems head on
- Understanding of restaurant financials: P&L, labor models, budgeting, COGS
- Working knowledge of POS systems, Google Sheets, and restaurant technology platforms
- Ability to stay calm and level-headed in high stress situations
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Completion of food safety and alcohol service certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is beneficial, but not mandatory

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
