Pre-K Assistant Teacher – Join Our Dedicated Team at Harvest Christian Academy
Location: Kingsland, GA
Position Type: Full-Time (190-day school year: 180 instructional days + 10 planning/professional development days)
About Us:
At Harvest Christian Academy, we believe in fostering a Christ-centered environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support our lead teacher in delivering high-quality early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- Alternative Credentials: Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a valid paraprofessional certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).
- Experience: Experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to communicate student progress and classroom updates.
- Participate in required professional development and training sessions.
