GFT is seeking a Geospatial Intern to join our Transportation Team in Baltimore, MD!
Responsibilities:
What you'll be challenged to do:
- Analyzes spatial information and tabular data to carry out routine GIS processing, data maintenance, and map production tasks.
- Receives instructions from Project Managers or Senior Project Managers on the general results expected.
- Researches data sources, workflow options, and industry guidance; documents findings for team reference.
- Serves as a member of the geospatial team, ensuring the accuracy of GIS layers and deliverables, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards.
- Keeps the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project schedule, scope, or additional-service needs.
- Participates in client and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, discuss user experience needs, and present interim GIS findings.
Qualifications:
What you bring to our firm:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Geography/GIS or closely related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Computer Science with a geospatial focus)
