Job Summary
We’re looking for a Grant Strategist who does more than write proposals. We want a strategic closer — someone who’s driven to win, builds sustainable funding plans, and crafts proposals that get results.
This role begins at 25 hours per week with a pathway to full-time based on performance. You must be experienced, outcomes-focused, and committed to client success. You’ll join a team of high-performers who push each other to deliver excellence every time.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and development for competitive grant proposals
- Identify funders aligned with client goals and missions
- Build funder pipelines and annual grant calendars
- Write compelling narratives, letters of intent, and full applications
- Collaborate with internal departments and clients to gather data
- Track application outcomes and funder communication
- Develop strategies to support long-term sustainability for clients
- Attend client meetings, webinars, and community partner events
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years grant writing experience with a proven record of success
- Strong research, writing, and storytelling skills
- Knowledge of nonprofit operations, governance, and budgeting
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (a plus)
- Experience with competitive, high-stakes funding environments
- Emotionally invested in client outcomes — you care about the win!
- Available for hybrid work including local and regional in-person meetings as needed
