POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer I works closely with the Marketing team to design and produce effective marketing and program collateral, supporting new membership acquisition, retention and public awareness. The Graphic Designer I has the responsibility to meet the outcomes and deliverables as defined by the branch executive of each assigned branch location, and provide creative solutions for association-wide initiatives and projects.
SALARY RANGE: $27.00 - $31.00/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop marketing materials that adhere to YMCA of the USA brand standards, ensuring clear and consistent communication across all platforms.
- Design a wide range of print and digital assets, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, web visuals, signage, and event materials.
- Collaborate with branch staff and stakeholders to manage projects from concept to completion.
- Translate ideas and messaging into effective graphic designs, often within tight deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree
- Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using MacOS platform, Adobe Creative Suite, with strong working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop.
- Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills to work in a busy work environment with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience in video production, photography, and/or website design/management preferred, but not required
- Ability to travel locally
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
