We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled items while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in meal preparation for catering events as needed, collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and safety at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management as necessary.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary aide practices and meal preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food service.
- Strong knife skills and ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
- A team player with good communication skills who can collaborate effectively with others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
