Job Summary: To maintain fully-stocked, attractive displays and provide prompt, friendly and helpful customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that full, attractive product displays are maintained.
- Rotate and face product to ensure freshness and visibility.
- Ensure that shelf signage is accurate, current, complete and place correctly according to department procedures.
- Order product as assigned following department procedures and guidelines.
- Receive product following store protocols regarding piece count, damage, signature and coding as required.
- Ensure accurate and sanitary product processing, packaging and pricing according to department procedures, Organic Handling, and Department of Agriculture regulations.
Customer Experience:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly way that shows you appreciate their patronage.
- Ensure that customers are attended to with a high level of service and professionalism.
- Offer help without being asked and be alert to customer's needs.
- Be familiar with Co-op policies and products in order to answer customer questions in a prompt and courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds frequently, with 60 pound lifting occasionally required.
- Stand and walk for entire shift.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
