Position Overview
The Production Manager roll is a dynamic position that requires strong personal drive, adaptability, organization, people and process skills….and the ability to roll up your sleeves and do the physical work when needed.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and the weekly priorities for warehouse, formulation, shipping, receiving, and purchasing operations.
- Deliver direct, hands-on management of the production floor, actively setting up equipment, troubleshooting, and leading the team day-to-day
- Lead and drive meetings with the CEO and all departments, preparing clear agendas, asking critical questions, driving accountability, and ensuring smooth cross-functional communication and processes.
- Work directly in Fishbowl software to assess, update, issue, and manage work orders, inventory, Manufacturing Orders (MOs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Maintain all production schedules, big picture projects and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in Zoho to ensure clear traceability and clarity.
- Develop and adjust daily/weekly production plans to navigate unexpected challenges (employee issues, vendor delays, equipment breakdowns, etc.)
- Organize the production floor and work stations to ensure efficient, fewest touches processes
- Train, supervise, mentor and hold the team accountable to efficiency, quality, and safety standards
- Collaborate with the CEO on KPIs, budgets, and goals. Track and report on these.
- Conduct capacity planning and ensure scaling readiness
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to align training, team and processes with GMP standards and prepare for ISO 22716 certification
- Identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and implement process and equipment upgrades
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 year
- Bonus Opportunities: Additional bonus opportunities of up to $25,000 a year for meeting KPI's and profit goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years in manufacturing or production management (preferably cosmetics, personal care, or food industries)
- Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills
- High-level software proficiency, including Fishbowl (or similar production management systems), spreadsheets, and Zoho for task and SOP management
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities – able to lead cross-departmental meetings and hold teams accountable
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment setup, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
- Capacity planning experience, with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Highly Motivated, Self-driven and accountable
-Ability to thrive under pressure; successfully leading and improving the company’s operations while navigating challenges and unexpected issues.
- Understands scaling and has strong skills in creating, documenting and training effective and efficient processes
- Embraces and understands how the rapidly shifting technological, AI and software landscape can be leveraged to improve all aspects of the business.
- Training in Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, etc.. helpful but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods during production shifts
- Capability to lift and move heavy drums, materials, and pallets
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multitasking, physically active environment
