Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that properties are well-maintained and functional. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Utilize tools and equipment effectively, including an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
- Respond promptly to service requests from clients or management, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
- Document completed work and report any significant issues or repairs needed to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role with a strong understanding of maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as an ohmmeter.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot various issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
