Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to stimulate the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of children
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child's unique needs and abilities
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through regular communication and updates on their child's progress
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Ensure the health and safety of all children by following proper procedures for supervision, hygiene, and emergency situations
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and teach appropriate social skills
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with educational objectives
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred)
Skills:
- Preschool education experience
- Ability to educate children in various subjects including math, language arts, science, etc.
- Lesson planning skills to create engaging activities for children
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques for young children
- Understanding of childhood development stages and milestones
- Experience in providing care for toddlers
