Teaching Pro Job Description
Position Concept: The Teaching Professional will assist with the development and implementation of the golf instruction program at the facility and target such programming at adults and junior customers. This position will provide professional instruction including private golf lessons, group clinics and assist with the marketing of new and existing player development programs to the facility’s customers and to the community.
Duties
- Provide high-quality golf instruction to individuals and groups, focusing on skill development and technique improvement.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to various skill levels, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the game.
- Conduct on-course coaching sessions to enhance players' strategic thinking and course management skills.
- Organize and lead golf clinics, workshops, and tournaments to promote participation and enjoyment of the sport.
- Maintain a positive relationship with students, providing feedback and encouragement to foster their growth in golf.
- Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong background in teaching physical education or sports coaching, with experience working with students of varying ages.
- Ability to educate effectively using clear communication skills, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
- Experience in lifeguarding or health club environments is beneficial for ensuring safety during outdoor activities.
- Knowledge of martial arts or judo can enhance physical conditioning programs offered alongside golf instruction.
- Familiarity with basketball techniques may be advantageous for developing coordination and agility in students.
- A passion for promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth through athletics.
