Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Foreman to lead our field operations on utility and grading projects. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain production, safety, and efficiency in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily activities of excavation and pipe crews
- Read and interpret plans, site grades, and utility layouts
- Oversee mass grading, trenching, sewer, water, and storm installations
- Create weekly crew schedules and assign daily tasks
- Track and report labor hours, equipment usage, and production quantities
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Operate equipment as needed (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.)
- Uphold Elevate’s standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in civil sitework
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Extensive experience in grading, trenching, and underground utilities
- Ability to create crew schedules and meet production goals
- Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and survey stakes
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CDL is a major plus
- Must be willing to work out of town when required
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment efficiently and safely
