Job Title: Hedge Accounting Consultant – IT Implementation

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Hedge Accounting Consultant with a strong focus on IT systems implementation to support the delivery of hedge accounting solutions and frameworks. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Finance, Risk, and IT teams, driving the end-to-end implementation of hedge accounting modules within enterprise systems (e.g., SAP Treasury, Kyriba, Oracle Financials, Reval, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of hedge accounting modules within treasury and ERP platforms.
- Translate hedge accounting requirements (ASC 815, IFRS 9) into functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with treasury, finance, and IT teams to define end-to-end system architecture supporting hedge documentation, effectiveness testing, and valuation.
- Oversee system integration and data flow design between trading platforms, ERP, and risk engines.
- Support solution design for derivative instruments including FX, interest rate swaps, and commodity hedges.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, UAT, system testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure compliance with hedge accounting standards and assist with audit documentation and reporting automation.
- Deliver technical documentation, configuration guides, and end-user training.
- Act as SME for hedge accounting frameworks and treasury technology solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in hedge accounting with at least 5+ years focused on IT implementation/integration.
- Deep understanding of hedge accounting standards (ASC 815, IFRS 9).
- Strong technical experience with SAP Treasury, Kyriba, Oracle Financials, or similar treasury/ERP solutions.
- Experience in implementing systems for derivative lifecycle management, hedge documentation, and effectiveness testing.
- Familiarity with treasury workflows, financial risk, and accounting/settlement processes.
- Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Treasury, Risk, and IT).
- Excellent project management, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based treasury systems or integrated trading platforms.
- CPA, CFA, or FRM is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience working in large-scale financial transformation projects or Big 4 consulting environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, XML, or integration middleware is a bonus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $81,175.00 - $89,109.00 per year
