Job Description:
This position will develop and coordinate IT helpdesk processes and resources, oversee student workers, and assist other IT team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
1. Coordinate IT Helpdesk
A. Develop and coordinate IT helpdesk processes and resources to ensure issues are isolated quickly, first level trouble shooting is accomplished efficiently, and more complex issues are escalated to the next level of expertise for timely resolution
Ensure support tickets are logged and tracked and level one issues are completed with a high level of accuracy.- Identify common issues and trends while communicating and developing proactive solutions to experienced problems.
- Continually develop, review, and improve helpdesk procedures and documentation so that student workers are able to resolve issues quickly and effectively with minimal clientele downtime.
- Coordinate and track short-term checkout equipment and replacement supplies including but not limited to; laptops, tablets, projectors and projector screens, ensuring users have the technological resources needed.

2. Office Operations
A. Supervise student worker staff and assist clientele with ID card solutions

Maintain student staff records including timesheets and FERPA training records.- Maintain schedules for student worker staff to cover shifts for posted helpdesk hours.
- Provide onboarding and continual training plans for student worker success.

3. Coordinate the Operation of the ID Card System
A. Provides setup, operational support, and maintenance to ID card solution and printers

Coordinate with vendors for ongoing maintenance and supplies.- Schedule routine maintenance of ID card solution software and ID card printers.
- Coordinate with other IT teams and various departments to validate the ID card system meets the needs of the campus.

4. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technological skills sufficient to troubleshoot and restore a variety of software and computer platforms as well as diagnose wide area network problems
- Code program modules for new and existing systems
- Ability to lift 50 to 80 pounds individually is occasionally required. Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces are frequently required tasks.
- Familiarity with IT programming sufficient to write proposals to improve help desk procedures
- Customer service skills to consult on IT functionality to internal clientele
- Ability to work through and implement projects independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 4 years of equivalent related work experience in helpdesk
- Ability to maintain composure in slow and fast-paced daily activities while being able to work on multiple tasks concurrently
